On a site set into the south-facing slope of an agricultural valley with spectacular views over Western Port Bay, the brief for this project called for adding 4 bedrooms and associated ancillary space to an existing square planned 1970’s holiday house. A linear form, sympathetic to the low pitch of the existing roof and the existing topography, provides a distinct accommodation wing, providing all bedrooms with ocean views. Corrugated iron roofing to the existing roof is pulled across the new extension wrapping down the walls and into the ground.
