Collins Wharf Health and Wellbeing Centre

Hospitality, Mixed Use

The Collins Wharf Health and Wellbeing Centre, designed for Lendlease as part of Melbourne’s Docklands renewal, sits prominently at the southern edge of Victoria Harbour. Inspired by the maritime shed typology, the design balances industrial simplicity with contemporary refinement, creating a beacon that connects to both the water and the city’s history. The centre offers state-of-the-art facilities supporting active and restorative wellbeing, including a gym, yoga studio, and hydrotherapy amenities with a pool, spa, steam room, and saunas. Expansive glazing opens interiors to panoramic harbour views, flooding spaces with natural light and tranquillity. The architecture’s low, horizontal form respects the wharf’s historic scale, while warm, earthy materials root it in place. More than a wellness destination, the centre enhances community life and contributes to the evolving civic identity of Docklands.
